Helen C.     Stunning apartment in wonderful Ventnor   Accomadation: 5 of 5

This was my second visit to Villa Amanti, this time with my family for Christmas.

The Villa apartment was warm and cosy and didn't disappoint. We had some lovely meals in the nearby restaurants and a brilliant New Years Eve in the Spyglass Pub. Watching the Boxing Day swim was a highlight. Loved our stay and would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic 5 day winter break in this lovely apartment that has a touch of luxury above most holiday homes. Great position right on the esplanade and brilliant for either a lazy time spent in and around Ventnor or exploring the rest of the island.

My sister and I take our 89 year old mum to the Isle of Wight every year and Ventnor has always been the location of choice. Villa Amanti is an amazing find for us as we are now able to take mum along the seafront easily for a short stroll. Villa Amanti is a fantastic place to stay and the owners have really thought of everything to make the stay wonderful and relaxing. We only stayed for three nights which really isn't long enough to fully appreciate everything that the Villa has to offer. The kitchen/diner/lounge is light and spacious, bedrooms so clean and tidy with really comfortable beds (my sister and I are both used to Tempur mattresses at home so it was great to find equally comfortable beds here), the ensuite to the twin bedroom was great for mum and the main bathroom has the luxury of a deep free-standing bath. How can we sum up the whole experience - WONDERFUL! Mum is already asking when are we going back - and that's something for a lady with a really bad memory!

A big thank you to the owner for making us so welcome.

Beautifully restored property. Comfortable and very clean. Stunning decor and overlooking the sea

Tertia S.  London  Excellent accommodation in beautiful location   Accommodation: 5 of 5

Villa Amanti is extremely comfortable and luxurious with much care and attention paid to the high quality of everything from appliances to towels and linen and even details such as hand cream. Julia and Simon were very helpful hosts and have clearly put much time and thought into ensuring the apartment is fully equipped to ensure all needs are met for a really relaxing stay. Located opposite the beach, it's a short (and steep!) walk into the lovely town of Ventnor which offers many delightful places to eat, with some great walks to nearby Steephill Cove or further afield to Shanklin. There are plenty of interesting places to visit by car but weather permitting, it's equally enjoyable and comfortable to do very little and cook delicious fish fresh from the Haven Fishery across the road! A perfect place to stay for all ages (we ranged from 11-80), Villa Amanti is a really special holiday experience.

Duncan W.  Great apartment in a stunning location Accommodation: 5 of 5

When the sun shines you won't want to go anywhere its that good. Need to stretch your legs? Walk up the steps to the town and take in the fantastic views.

This property is a 5 star property. It not only looks fantastic, it really was fantastic. Its a show stopper to locals and visitors to Ventnor alike. Everything that was listed was as described. We (family of 4) stayed here for a week and it really felt like home. The furnishings were tasteful and extremely comfortable. Everything in the apartment was of a high standard. It was clean and well maintained.

There were plenty of restaurants and cafes in Ventnor. We tried the new Indian restaurant called the Masala Bay, fresh fish and chips from Ventnor Haven (my children had never had crab and chips before and absolutely loved it), Lady Scarlett's Tea Parlour (which is a WW2 themed cafe - small but outstanding service and good food), The Spyglass Inn, Ocean Blue Quay and fresh fruit and veg from Five a Day. In immediate vicinity of Ventnor we visited Steephill Cove, Ventnor Botanic Gardens (now charging an entrance fee but well worth it as it covers your parking). They offer a tour guide - free on paid entrance. It lasted over and hour and a half and even my children enjoyed it and were not bored! Most attractions are easy to get to around the Island. For the younger/up to teenage visitor Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill Country Park and Tapnell Farm Park is a must. Also worth visiting is Compton Bay (it is National Trust and they charge for parking but free if you are a NT member) or some just parked on the verge and walked. However the beach is really lovely (take windbreakers or tent as can get windy). Note that there is only an ice cream van at the top of the car park selling ice creams and burgers and bits so taking a picnic is highly recommended.

I would definitely highly recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Wendy S.  5 star luxury Accommodation: 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in your apartment and would really like to come back again some time. We kind of fell in love with Ventnor and its quirkiness. Thank you for all your efforts to create such luxury accommodation. We felt happy and relaxed the whole time. Everything we could wish for was there - better than a five star hotel.

Jennie H.  Beautiful property Accommodation:  5 of 5

This property is in the perfect location right on the esplanade- you can hear the sea from your bed.  The house has everything you need, it is very well equipped, beautifully but simply furnished, very comfortable, a real home from home.

Isabelle H. Absolutely Fantastic!  Accommodation:  5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Amanti the apartment is superb in every aspect well maintained, great layout and the best location.

Very stylish and to such a high luxurious standard it exceeded our expectations (more like staying in a luxurious botique hotel apartment). Everything you could possibly need, one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in with beautiful beautiful, the kitchen was very well equipped with great attention to detail.

The apartment is so spacious with two large double bedrooms and two bathrooms a most comfortable lounge with views out to sea.

The apartment is on the ground floor and has fantastic views of the sea and palms trees from the lounge and master bedroom. There is a private entrance with a walled garden, access to the beach and Esplanade. We are well travelled and have stayed in various places on our travels and we could not recommend Villa Amanti highly enough.

Our great surprise was to have the Haven fishmongers steps away on the Esplanade which was open 7 days a week and included fresh sea bass, dover sole, cod, lobster, crab and more. The shops were a little stroll up the hill, plenty of restaurants and cafes both in the town and on the Esplanade.

We did not meet the owners but would like to congratulate them and can understand why Villa Amanti won the Restoration award, it is a Jewel and probably one of the most beautiful Houses/Villas on the Isle of Wight a superb renovation, we would like to thank them for a memorable holiday. We were very sad to leave but are looking forward to returning later in the year.

Thalia W.   Amazing apartment - Great location!  Accommodation:  5 of 5

Our holiday on the Isle of Wight could not have been better. Mostly thanks to the great apartment which is situated in idyllic Ventnor. The apartment has great atmosphere and is nicely furbished. The apartment is clean and offers all necessities a family needs for a luxurious self-catering holiday. We enjoyed cooking the fresh fish from the local fishery which is only a 3 minute walk from the apartment. You can also find nice restaurants next to the apartment on the esplanade. We felt at home in Ventnor, because of the great apartment and the friendly owners.

Victoria B.  A beautiful family apartment in a stunning house a stones throw from the beach  Accommodation:  5 of 5

My husband and our 2 boys age 4 and 6 spent a really wonderful week in this stunning apartment. It is beautifully designed but very child friendly, with a wonderful walled garden where we ate our meals. The kitchen is a joy to cook in with everything you could possibly need, beautiful comfy beds and lovely linens, towels, beach towels, comfy bath robes etc. Julia and Simon who own the property were hugely welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay problem free and enjoyable. I cannot recommend Ventnor highly enough, we have already booked for next year! Victoria Bazeley.

David W.  Superb week at the Villa Amanti, Ventnor  Accommodation:   5 of 5

We arrived at probably the most glamorous property on the Isle of Wight coast line after a long journey. Wow! The property, which has been beautifully restored has real kerb appeal. On arrival the owners had arranged a thoughtful basket of essential supplies, with one or two little luxuries and a wonderful vase of flowers. The two bedroomed apartment was immaculate in every way. (Sea views from the living room and master bedroom) The apartment has a small private terrace in the back with chairs and table for alfresco dinning. The windows are framed with palm trees which along with the perfect blue sky's made you feel that you could be anywhere in the world. The apartment is spacious and well laid out, bags of character and high quality furnishings, fittings, fixtures and equipment. You had everything you could possibly need and if felt for us like a real home from home. In fact we were very sad when our week was over and could have stayed longer. We didn't see the owners much during the holiday but when we did meet they were absolutely lovely and seemed to really care about us as guests to their property.

The island itself is compact and easy to travel around, with most things you would want to do in less than 10 miles in any direction. My wife and I haven't visited since we were kids and it was wonderful to re-live our childhood memories. There is lots of things to do and most places were good value. Ventnor itself is full of charm, it has a fine shingle beach and safe bathing for families. When we visited the sea was a lovely turquoise colour and everywhere was very clean. The property sits directly opposite the beach, nestled between some nice café bars and restaurants, all of which were dog friendly. For a livelier seaside experience it was a short drive or bus ride to the sandy beaches at Shanklin and Sandown.

Overall this was a great break. I would be delighted to recommend this wonderful apartment to anyone who wants something just a little bit special.

Jonathan R. Simply Outstanding!  Accommodation:  5 of 5

The accommodation provided was above expectations for the whole family, having never been to the island before. The quality and detail that the owners have loving provided, was to an exceptional standard.

As a seasoned traveler (knowing what others provide) and looking at what is offered, Villa Amanti offers exceptional value for money and comes highly recommended.

We are looking forward to our next trip to the island and Villa Amanti!
