History Meets Luxury

history

Designed by an Italian Architect, Villa Amanti was built circa 1840's around the same time as Queen Victoria's Osborne House. Villa Amanti is a very good example of the Italianate style of architecture that was very fashionable in the mid nineteenth century. The Italianate style of the late Regency and early Victorian era drew heavily from the motifs of the buildings of the Italian Renaissance.

The simple front facade is built of limestone sourced from Caen in Northern France. The linear detailing and quoins combined with the decorative railings are in the typical style of the period.

renovation

Villa Amanti started its complete renovation in 2008.  We preserved the historic integrity of the property while providing modern and luxurious accommodation and amenities.  We value the property's rich heritage and position on the Esplanade and remain locally focused, highlighting all Ventnor has to offer.

Villa Amanti was the proud overall winner of the Isle of Wight Restoration/Conservation Award.

Villa Amanti was the overall winner of the Isle of Wight in Bloom Award for the best Coastal Garden 2016 presented by Alan Titchmarsh.
